Children's Message
Sundays during Worship
Children are welcome to remain with their families at Sunday morning worship. As part of the service, children are invited to gather at the front of the church for a special message specifically for them. They are also welcome to come forward during communion for a blessing.
Please note that activity bags are available during worship to keep children occupied. A separate nursery/playroom is also available where the service is livestreamed.

Beginning in 7th or 8th grade, students undergo a 2-year program of instruction, which culminates in affirmation of baptism (when students confess their faith in the grace that they received in baptism as infants or young children). Confirmation helps youth develop a fuller understanding of the meaning behind the Bible stories they learned in Sunday School, cultivate a richer appreciation of the Lutheran heritage, and inspire a life of service in the name of Christ.
In confirmation, students revisit both the Old and New Testaments, study Martin Luther’s Small Catechism, and perform various kinds of service ministry. Each confirmand also meets semi-regularly with a mentor from the congregation. Hope uses the “Here We Stand” curriculum produced by Fortress Press (Sparkhouse) - an engaging course of study that integrates textbook learning with games, fellowship activities, and multimedia presentations.
